Training on gender issues for the Kosovo Judicial Institute
The UNMIK Office of Gender Affairs (OGA) delivered a module on the gender dimensions of trafficking in human beings for Kosovo judges and prosecutors in coordination with the Kosovo Judicial Institute (KJI). An overview of local and international legal mechanisms to protect the rights of trafficked women was presented and a discussion on frameworks in place to combat women's trafficking was facilitated. This initiative was part of a broader program of the OGA aimed at enhancing the capacity of judges and prosecutors to integrate a gender perspective in the rule of law.
