“Women and Men in Kosovo”
The UNMIK Office of Gender Affairs (OGA) has published the first complete survey of all available sex-disaggregated statistics, “Women and Men in Kosovo.” The data was gathered with the assistance of a number of local and international partners including the Statistical Office of Kosovo, the ministries, the municipalities and other Provisional Institutions of Self-Government, as well as with local women's NGOs and networks. The published data will serve as a policy and planning tool for both policy-makers and civil society in helping to close the gender gaps in the education, health, economy and employment, social welfare and agricultural sectors. The publication was launched with six regional presentations around Kosovo.
