- Chief of Office
The Chief of the UNMIK Office of Gender Affairs oversees the management of the activities undertaken by the office, ensuring coordination with UNMIK's Pillars and substantive departments and guaranteeing coherence in all Mission efforts to promote gender equality. The Chief advises the SRSG on strategies and policies to enhance the mainstreaming of a gender perspective in the whole spectrum of UNMIK's operations.
- Associate Political Affairs Officer (APAO)
o Providing the Chief of Office with advice on the current political, social and legislative climate, the APAO also contributes to the design and monitoring of programs and initiatives that promote gender equality. The APAO also maintains contacts, in particular, with the Kosovo Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the Prime Minister and the Judiciary in order to be apprised of significant developments in Kosovo.
- Civil Affairs Officer (CAO)
o The Civil Affairs Officer liaises with Ministries and Municipalities, supporting the gender mainstreaming process in the PISG structures at the central and local levels. Furthermore, the CAO provides assistance in the implementation of international and local instruments and mechanisms for gender equality.
- Training & Capacity-Building Officer (TCBO)
o The TCBO designs and implements capacity-building interventions aimed at facilitating effective achievement of the goals of international and local gender equality instruments and mechanisms. Additionally, by providing technical assistance to all key stakeholders at the central and local level, the TCBO ensure the fulfillment of the Standards for Kosovo and their Implementation Plan.
- Research Assistant (RA)
o Maintaining a strong working relationship with the Kosovo Statistical Office, and all users and producers of statistics, the Research Assistant ensures that gendered socio-economic data is gathered and analyzed by, and that training of gender statistics is provided to, the relevant actors. The RA also oversees all activities related to gender-sensitive budget initiatives in Kosovo.
- External Relations & Reporting Officer (ERRO)
o The ERRO is responsible for all activities related to public information, and maintains relations with local media institutions in promoting OGA’s activities. In addition, the ERRO supports the design and implementation of public campaigns conceived to raise awareness of gender issues in decision-makers and the general public.
- Administrative Assistant
o The administrative assistant ensures that the substantive work of the office is carried out smoothly and efficiently by providing all forms of administrative, secretarial and technical support to the programmes, the staff and the Chief of the OGA.
§ - Language Assistant (LA)
o By providing interpretation services at high-level meetings, seminars, workshops, and on fieldtrips, the Language Assistant ensures effective communication between international staff of the OGA and local partners and clients. The LA is also encharged with translating all official documents of the OGA.
